Upside Contract

On November 20, 2009, the University of Illinois Office of Capital Programs and Real Estate Services (UOCP&RES) went live with Upside Contract to replace the aging Contract Document System (CDS). CDS use will continue for previously created binders until the end of 2009. UOCP&RES expects that Upside will be used for generating new contract documents as of January, 2010. All Campus Construction Units and professional services firms will be affected. Professional Services firms will no longer be able to view or edit contract documents. Campus Construction Units will generate and edit all contract documents, and staff will need to attend training to have their Upside accounts activated.


November Board of Trustees Meeting

November 12, 2009 – The items considered during the meeting of the Board of Trustees on Thursday, November 12, 2009, were approved and are posted on the Board of Trustees web page.


New Capital Contract Document System

In late November, 2009, the University of Illinois Office of Capital Programs and Real Estate Services (UOCP&RES) will introduce a new capital contract document system to replace the aging Contract Document System (CDS).

UOCP&RES selected Upside Contract to replace the CDS to increase compatibility with other capital systems. CDS will no longer be used for generating new contract documents as of Jan. 1, 2010.

Affected: All Campus Construction Units and professional services firms will be affected. In Upside, Professional Services firms will no longer be able to view or edit contract documents. By the end of 2009, CDS will be phased out. Except for contracts already started in CDS, Campus Construction Units will generate all new contract documents within Upside as of Jan. 1, 2010.

The Estimated Go-Live date for Upside software is November 20, 2009.

FCPWeb Log-in Issues

We are continuing to experience intermittent log-in issues with FCPWeb. Access to FCPWeb is currently available, and we are investigating the cause of the log-in problems. If you experience problems accessing FCPWeb, please contact the AITS Service Desk by phone (312-996-4806 or 217-333-3102) or email (servicedeskaits@uillinois.edu ). We apologize for any inconvenience due to the recent FCPWeb issues.


Vendor Services Application

COMING SOON: UOCP&RES will introduce a Vendor Services Application to replace the PRZM Registration System. All vendors to capital projects will be affected. If you are a vendor or vendor employee, you will be required to register or verify your registration with the new system, and you will need to know your company’s FTIN.
